Distaff Singers' annual benefit concert showcases our versatility as a performing group. The first half of the program is presented in traditional concert style. The types of music we perform in this part of the program range from classical to contemporary and from traditional to jazz and pop. Often, this part of the program is structured around a theme to showcase music of a certain time or place. In years past, these themes have included:

                                Songs of inspiration

                                Celestial songs

                                Eastern European folk songs

                                Ladino torch songs

The second half of the program is more carefree and fun, with costumes and choreography that entertain both young and old. Broadway tunes, pop songs, and old standards become part of an entertaining musical revue. So, if you love to sing and all of this sounds fun, come and join us today! New members are welcome! No auditions required.  Reading music is not necessary, however, prior choral experience and the ability to match pitch are strongly encouraged. Membership dues are $225 plus $25 music fee annually (may be paid in installments). Distaff Singers produces one major Benefit concert each year, usually in the Fall, and sing around the community throughout the year.  We rehearse from late January thru October.  Rehearsals are weekly, on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-9:15 pm. Please contact us for location.
